Meet The Teacher: Patrizia Cioffi, Soprano
An esteemed vocal coach, Patrizia Cioffi's career is marked by notable experiences, including positions at Mount Holyoke College, Lucy Moses School in New York City, Ridgewood Conservatory, and South Orange and Montclair Adult Schools. In 1975, she founded the New School for the Arts/New Jersey Opera Institute.
Her teaching technique is deeply rooted in the Italian school of bel canto singing, emphasizing the use of breath, expanding vocal range, and the interpretation of a diverse range of repertory, including standard, Italian, German, English, and Latin, across various music styles and genres.
She has been a member of prominent organizations like the National Association of Teachers of Singing, National Music Teachers Association, National Opera Association, and the Voice Foundation.

Vocal Training & Voice Building
Stress-free training for beginner to advanced singers of all ages. The lessons cover a wide range of genres, including popular music, Rhythm and Blues, Salsa, Musical Theater, Opera, Sacred Music, Oratorio, American Classics, folk, and ethnic songs. Training is also provided for actors and professional speakers to maintain a healthy speaking voice.
Performance Opportunities
Students apply their skills in real-world settings. This could include organized performances, recitals, or auditions, where students can showcase their talent, gain stage experience, and apply the techniques they have learned. Such opportunities are crucial for building confidence and gaining practical experience in the field of singing and performance.
Individualized Coaching
The coaching approach is tailored to individual needs, focusing on elements like strong vocal technique, correct use of breath, secure high and low ranges, a warm middle and low voice, even vocal projection, acting, and stage presence. This personalized approach develops each student's unique sound and performance technique.
Virtual and In-Person Lessons
